Interview: Pap culture feels like living in Bigg Boss house, but no complaints – Kartik Aryan

Actor Karthik Aryan is in the news these days. his/her film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is just a few days away from release and the actor is very excited about it. Kartik has recently talked about many things related to films and personal life.

Karthik Aryan he/she is one of those actors of today’s era who believes in playing different roles every time. After the biopic ‘Chandu Champion’ some time ago, he/she is now coming with his/her new horror-comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. Special meeting with him/her.What was the most difficult thing for you at that time, when you were continuously giving auditions, changing clothes at stations and malls?
-The most difficult thing was to make one’s place and come under someone’s notice. For me it was not that people were sitting to make a film for me. I didn’t know anyone here. I had to make my own plate. I used to get so many rejections in the beginning, but I always believed in myself. I thought that someday this opportunity would definitely come. I spent two-two and a half years doing the same. Finally I got the Panchnama of love. But for that I had to roll many types of papads. Having to give auditions continuously, getting hit by trains and that too without knowing when you will get a chance, it was a very difficult period. However, from that period I learned patience and belief in myself.

You have proved yourself in different shades of acting. Despite this, what would you say about the constant comparisons with Akshay Kumar?
-I always say that I am a fan of Akshay sir. I don’t understand how to react to this thing, many meanings can be derived from it. But it is not possible to compare me with him/her, because his/her acting journey has been so long and amazing, he/she has ruled for so many years, so that comparison is wrong. I still consider myself new. They have been here for so many years and have been doing so much lotus work from whom we learn. So whenever this question comes, a strange situation arises for me. I think, mostly these comparisons come because of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.

The biggest irony of the glamor industry is that after the stardom ends, even actors like Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna are forgotten, does this aspect scare you?
-To be honest, I don’t think about such things. I believe in living in the moment. I don’t get too attached to success and failure. A week at the most, and then I move on to the next thing. If I talk about Chandu Champion, I dedicated myself to this character for one and a half years. But a week after the release of the film, I started shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Now I am busy in the promotion of Bhool Bhulaiyaa and after its release I will start working on my next film. I can’t even imagine the success or failure related to this or what will happen after twenty years.

But you will definitely have some night mayor (bad dream)?
-Yes, isn’t it? The film not working is a nightmare. But it would not be right to call this a nightmare either. In fact, you will feel very bad and sad. It is obvious that we make a film with all our heart and with the hope that it will work and reach as many people as possible, but if it does not happen, then it becomes a big deal.

What’s it like to be under constant camera surveillance in today’s social media and pap culture?
-It feels as if I have come to Bigg Boss house. Your every movement is being captured on camera and you are being talked about. But I have no complaint about this nor do I feel bad. I came here to get all this. I consider this to be part and parcel of this industry. Be it surveillance or pap culture, I have no complaints about it, I am getting so much love and attention. I longed for these things and today when people know my name, I feel good. If someone wants photos, articles or selfies, I like to provide them. I always wanted my posters to be displayed and my films to be talked about and now that is happening, then I have no right to complain.

Despite being so hot and happening, how are you deprived of love?
-Can’t find anything so hot and happening (laughs out loud)

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released during Covid and had a bumper earning, will Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 create a ruckus at the box office this time too?

-When Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 came out, there were very few expectations with it. People had already formed their opinion about him/her. And when it released, it broke many box office records and Housefull came back on the boards. Now that we are bringing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the conversation has gone from no expectation to high expectation, so it is a bit challenging for us to digest the expectations and expectations. This is the kind of festive film which you can enjoy with your family. It is set in a comic space along with horror. My character of Rooh Baba was not set in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, but by the time 3 came, he/she had made his/her place. Now people are calling me Rooh Baba, wearing clothes, doing that kind of dance, so I hope the same miracle happens at the box office, but we are coming on a date where the clash will also happen. Is.

How nervous and competitive are you feeling with the release date of your film Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again?
-Maidan is not alone here, but I hope that both the films do. Somehow this clash is unfortunately inevitable. But this date is big, so there is full scope for the release of both the films. There are options for the audience and if they want, they can watch both the films. If this happens, everyone will benefit.

In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, you are surrounded by women power (Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan and Trupti Dimri), which women have influenced you in your real life?
-I have been very lucky, I have had amazing women in both my personal and professional life. But in real life, my mom and sister have influenced me a lot. She is younger than me, but she is the more mature of the two of us. I used to boss her around a lot in my childhood, but now she does. Whenever I have to express my feelings or have some confusion, I talk to her and I have seen that she handles the issues very intelligently. I have learned a lot from him/her.

What would you say about your onscreen heroines of the film?
-I was blessed to get the opportunity to work with Madhuri ma’am, because she is a legend and even when I did not have a scene, I used to watch her scenes during the shooting. I have been a big fan of his/her dance and I love dancing myself, so it was a big thing for me to work with him/her. I am also a big fan of Vidya ji, she brings a gravitas whenever she comes on screen. Apart from onscreen, the way she talks offscreen, it feels like you are with a friend. So I enjoyed that very much. As far as Trupti is concerned, I was working with her for the first time, but working with her was very fun because our chemistry was established and people will also like it!
