Ayushi, who has been a part of many serials for some time, is currently seen in the show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile. Recently when she came to Lucknow, she told a lot about her journey from becoming Alpha to reaching TV.

I have taken up my own responsibilities

I am a strong girl and I have my own way. That’s why I related to the Alpha thing. Still, it is not that I am very dominating but yes, I am a girl who takes charge of her own life. She handles it herself. Takes all her own decisions. I have also taken up my own responsibilities. I am alpha but I don’t have authority over anyone else. I am definitely a provider but it is not in me to rule or establish rights because I believe in freedom of choice.

I hope no one meets such people

I always had a dream of becoming an artist. I was interested in dance since childhood but my mother’s dream was to become an actor and appear on TV. When I felt that I had grown up and could handle myself, I decided to go to Mumbai and give auditions. Came to Mumbai at the age of 17. This is a city that does not suit everyone. This is from 2017. Tried a lot but could not connect the links because nothing was known. Also met such people whom I hope no one meets. They will take you on the wrong path. At that time I gave up my desire to become an actor. I had a struggle of three-four years. Then he/she went to Bangalore and completed his/her graduation and got a job. Collected a lot of money. Then I came to Mumbai, then I felt that now I have become so strong that if bad people come, I will handle them. Many times, after coming from a small town, you are unable to control yourself and get lost in the big city. Now that I have been in Mumbai for four-five years, this city has started feeling like my own.

I didn’t want to leave anything to wish for.

I came to Mumbai to become an actor on the pretext of doing a make-up course. When I told my father, he/she did a lot of research. I had thought that like Kartik Aryan, I would take up acting in Mumbai on the pretext of studies. he/she got the job but I did not get it. Then went to Bangalore. There I strengthened myself and felt that I should give it another chance. I didn’t want to leave anything to chance in the future. Took another chance after the lockdown. At that time father had said that you have one year. If it is seen on TV then fine, otherwise you will have to return. It had been a very stressful year. I had the idea of the lead actress in my mind. Then I felt that if I kept trying to get leads, I don’t know whether I would get work or not. I started giving auditions for all kinds of characters with negative-positive shades. After eight months I got my first negative role. Even though Papa was not very happy, he/she still felt that at least he/she would be seen on TV. After that there was no stopping.

Acting improves with experience

It has been eight years since I lived alone outside the house. Lived in Bangalore for three years and have been in Mumbai for five years. I got so many experiences while living alone, which made me stronger. I feel that the more experiences you have in life, the better you will be at acting. Acting improves only with experience. I have learned a lot and will continue to learn. I tell everyone that even if you are from a small town, go out without fear. Have lots of experiences. slug it out. However, it is important to exercise some caution while being alone outside as things can sometimes go wrong.

We the actors also came from among you.

Many times people think that if you are an actor you will always look beautiful. There are so many hormonal problems in the lives of girls that they cannot always look the same. We may also have pimples or other skin problems on our face. We are also human beings. The problems in our life are the same as in your life. Being an actor, I always say that if you (audience-fan) are there then we are there. We have emerged from among you. Many times people troll the actress to see how many spots she has on her face or how she looks. People probably do this because they have nothing else to do.

Nani was also married to the Atta-Sata tradition.

I did not know earlier that the practice of atta-sata had taken place in my house also. When I came to know about this from the show’s producer, I came and talked to my mother. Somewhere I knew that there is such a tradition in Madhya Pradesh also. My mother is from Maharashtra, so this tradition was there also. he/she told that the same thing happened with your grandmother also. At that time it was accepted very happily. Grandmother had come to her place and her sister-in-law was married to her brother. People believed that if a daughter was leaving from our house, a daughter was also coming from another house. Then you will also treat your daughter-in-law like a daughter. It was then that I came to know for the first time that the show I was going to do had some connection with my family too.
