New Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme of Delhi Government

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced the ‘Ambedkar Samman Scholarship’ scheme for Dalit students ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections. Under this, the Delhi government will bear the entire cost of studying abroad for the Dalit students of Delhi. Kejriwal said, ‘Ambedkar had said that education is the real path to progress. Overcoming all obstacles, he/she completed his/her PhD from America. To carry forward his/her thinking, we are starting this scholarship.

What is Ambedkar Samman Scholarship Scheme?

The Delhi government will bear the entire cost of education, travel and accommodation for Dalit students of Delhi to study in foreign universities. Children of government employees will also be eligible for this scheme. For this, students will have to get admission in a reputed foreign university.
