India’s first innings ended cheaply, top order including Kohli bowed down


New Delhi. The Indian team has had a very disappointing start to its Australia tour. In the first innings of the Perth Test match, the entire Indian team was limited to a score of just 150 runs. The batsmen of the Indian team succumbed to the fast bowling of Australia. The top order failed miserably and the team was able to save its honor thanks to the lower order. Nitish Reddy played the highest innings of 41 runs while Rishabh Pant scored 37 runs.

In the first test match against Australia, Indian team captain Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and chose to bat first. When the captain took this decision, the team’s batsmen were expected to score a good score but the complete opposite happened. India created a problem for itself by losing 4 wickets in the first session itself. 4 wickets had fallen on the score of 47 runs. After lunch, the fast bowlers attacked even more, due to which the entire team was confined to the second session.

Australia’s fast bowling attack devastated the Indian batting order. Captain Pat Cummins tried 5 bowlers in the first innings of Perth, out of which 4 were fast bowlers. The fast bowlers were heavy on the batting order of Team India. Josh Hazlewood took 4 wickets for 29 runs in 13 overs. Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Marsh took 2-2 wickets.

The top order batsmen disappointed the Indian team in the Perth Test. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was out on zero while Devdutt Padikkal also returned after opening his/her account. Star batsman Virat Kohli’s poor form continues, he/she could score only 5 runs. Young Dhruv Jurel returned after scoring 11 runs and Washington Sundar returned after scoring 4 runs. 6 out of 10 batsmen could not even reach double figures. Nitish Kumar Reddy played an inning of 41 runs while Rishabh Pant was out after scoring 37 runs. KL Rahul scored 26 runs.
