New Delhi. After ICC World Cup Final, WTC Final, now century in Pink Ball Test… It seems as if Travis Head has vowed to give his/her best performance against India. On the second day of the Adelaide Test match, when India was trying to make a comeback and was getting success, Travis Head played a century. This innings of the Test match was as if they were playing an ODI match. he/she completed his/her century in 111 balls, which included 10 fours and 3 sixes. This is also the world record for the fastest century in a day-night test.

When Travis Head came out to bat against India, Australia’s score was 3 wickets.
It was 103 runs. India made a comeback in the match by taking two wickets in a span of 4 overs. Now Australia’s last specialist pair in the form of Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head was in front. Taking one more wicket meant that all-rounder Mitchell Marsh would have come to the crease. Then wicketkeeper Alex Carey and then tail… but India’s wish was ruined by Labuschagne and Travis Head. Labuschagne (64) still returned after scoring a half-century but Travis Head scored a century to take Australia beyond 300 runs.

If Australia’s batsman had not shown sportsmanship, the umpire would not have given him/her out… Bumrah clapped in respect.

Travis Head often performs well against India. Especially in big matches. Like he/she played a century in the ICC World Cup final on 19 November 2023. Travis Head made Australia the world champion by scoring 137 runs against India in Ahmedabad. India lost the final even after playing at home.

Travis Head broke his/her own world record for the fastest century in a day-night test by scoring a century in 111 balls in Adelaide. Earlier, he/she had scored a century in 112 balls against England. There is only one name at first three places in the list of fastest century in Pink Ball Test. Travis Head has scored a century in 125 balls in the pink ball test against West Indies.
