Indian women’s team will play a Test match at Lord’s for the first time, know the full schedule

London. Lord’s has opened its doors for the Indian women’s cricket team. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced that the historic Lord’s Stadium will host the women’s Test match between India and England in 2026. This will be the first time that this ground will host a Test match between these two teams.

The ECB said on its website that after the three-match ODI series between India and England in July 2025, the Indian team will return for a one-off Test in 2026. The Indian team will play a five-match T20 International series between June 28 and July 12 next year, followed by a three-match ODI series on July 16 (Southampton), 19 (London) and 22 (Chester-le-Street) respectively.

ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gould said, ‘I am also delighted that the Indian women’s team will return to Lord’s in 2026 to face England women’s team in the first women’s Test match. This will be a truly special occasion.’ The ECB said, ‘It has also been confirmed that the Indian team will return to Lord’s in 2026 for a one-off Test match. This will be the first Test match to be played between these two teams on this ground.’

England women have played white-ball matches at Lord’s for the last three years. Another match is scheduled next year, but this will be the first time the ground will host India in a women’s Test match. The Indian team has won Test matches played on its home soil against England and Australia in December last year and South Africa in June-July this year. India played its last Test match in England in 2021 at Bristol. The match ended in a draw.
