PM Narendra ModiPrime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to France these days. PM Modi had reached Paris on the previous day. On reaching, PM Modi has given good news to Indian students. PM Modi has announced that Indian students pursuing their Masters in France will now be given a 5-year post-study work visa. Please inform that earlier, there was a 2-year work-visa for Indian students pursuing Masters in France. Addressing the Indian community at La Seine Musical in Paris, PM Modi said, ‘Earlier France used to give two-year post-study visa to Indian students, now five-year post-study work visa will be given.’
PM is the chief guest at Bastille Day celebrations
The Prime Minister will join President Macron as the Chief Guest at the French National Day or Bastille Day celebrations in Paris. During his/her address, the Prime Minister also touched upon the India-France Strategic Partnership, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. PM Modi has also announced the opening of a new embassy in Marseille, France. Let us tell you that after America, Britain, Germany and Australia, France is famous for higher studies for international students.
Indian students are studying the most management
According to the latest official figures after COVID-19, there are around 6,000 Indian students in France in the 2021-2022 academic session, of which more than 70% are pursuing management programmes. PM Modi will leave on an official visit from Paris to Abu Dhabi, UAE tomorrow, 15th July. The UAE will host the 28th Conference of the UNFCCC (COP-28) later this year.
