Indian stock markets closed with a strong rally due to buying in banking stocks

Stock Market Closing In 29th December 2022: Thursday has been a wonderful day for the Indian stock market. On the day of monthly expiry, the Indian market opened with a decline due to global cues, but due to buying in banking and IT stocks, the stock market gained momentum. And at the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex fell by 223 points to 61,133 points, while the NSE Nifty closed at 18,191 points with a gain of 68 points. Sensex has again managed to close above 61000 points.

The credit for the rise in the stock market goes to the Bank Nifty, which has seen a gain of 800 points from the lower level. Apart from banking, the shares of Nifty Auto, Nifty IT, Nifty Metals, Nifty Energy have also seen a boom. Buying was also seen in the shares of Pharma sector. Only FMCG media and consumer durables sectors saw a decline. While 20 of the 30 Sensex stocks closed with gains, 10 stocks declined. So out of 50 shares of Nifty, 32 shares have closed with a boom and 18 shares have closed with a decline.
