Stock Market Closing On 15th December 2022: There has been a brake on the ongoing boom in the Indian stock. On Thursday, the Indian market witnessed a major decline due to profit booking by investors. So this decline was also due to the signs of increasing the interest rates of the US Federal Reserve in the coming days. At the end of today’s trading, the Mumbai Stock Exchange’s index Sensex closed below 62000 points at 61,799 with a decline of 878 points, while the National Stock Exchange’s index Nifty closed at 18415 points with a decline of 245 points.

Banking, IT, FMCG stocks have played a big role in bringing down the market. Nifty Bank has closed at 43,492 with a decline of 550 points i.e. 1.25 percent. Nifty IT declined by 2.11 percent, Nifty FMCG declined by 0.88 percent. Today there was a brake on the speed of PSU banks and the PSU index has also declined by 1.88 percent.
If we look at the movement of shares in the market, only Sun Pharma and NTPC shares were on the rise, rest all other shares closed down. Tech Mahindra closed down by 4.04 per cent, Infosys by 2.75 per cent, Titan by 2.55 per cent, HDFC by 2.18 per cent.
Today trading took place in 3680 shares in the market in which 2152 shares closed down and only 1404 shares gained momentum. There has been a decline of about Rs 3 lakh crore in the wealth of investors. The market cap of companies listed in BSE has come down to Rs 288.36 lakh crore from Rs 291 lakh crore.
