New Delhi. During the tenure of Modi government, Indian Railways is trying to expand its passenger services. After the safety of the passengers, the speed of the train, the design of the coach and the food and drink, now the Railways is also going to provide complete medical facilities to the passengers. Now adequate medical facilities will be provided free of cost to the passengers in the major railway stations and trains of the country. Passengers will have arrangements to deal with diseases like cold, cold, fever, dehydration while traveling in the train, as well as to deal with conditions like emergency facility, delivery of women and heart attack. Critical care unit will now be deployed in railway stations and trains.

Let us tell you that only a few days ago, the Railways had decided that the passengers would not be provided with preliminary but complete medical arrangements. Till now there was only provision of first aid in the trains, but the Railways has taken up this arrangement after the order of the Supreme Court and the recommendation of a team of doctors from AIIMS Delhi. A committee of MPs had also issued a recommendation regarding this.

In the coming days, the Ministry of Railways has issued an order to keep equipment equipped with life-saving drugs, medical equipment as well as oxygen cylinders in all stations and passenger trains. For the last few years, many claims were being made regarding the safety of passengers from the track to inside the train, but after an incident in Sahibabad, adjacent to Delhi, the Ministry of Railways has taken a big decision.

It is noteworthy that in the past, a pregnant woman was not provided timely health care at Sahibabad station adjacent to Delhi. However, with the help of passengers, the woman gave birth to a daughter. Many such incidents forced the Railways to introduce complete medical arrangements on trains and stations.

At present, if any passenger in the train has any health-related or emergency situation, then the doctors of the railway station arrange an ambulance and send the passenger to the hospital if his/her condition is bad. No cost is charged from the passenger during emergency. But, while traveling in the train, such rules remain just book rules. In reality, there are no teams of doctors at railway stations.
