Odisha's Balasore train accident (2023)The train accident in Balasore district of Odisha on 2 June 2023 shook the entire country. The accident included Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, Shalimar-Chennai Coromandal Express and a freight train. The Coromandel Express collided with a stable goods train, after which its coaches derailed and hit the other train. More than 296 people died and more than 1,200 were injured in the accident.
