Rajdhani Express Accident (2002)The Rajdhani Express going from Kolkata to New Delhi in September 2002 was passing through a bridge over the Dhave river in Aurangabad district of Bihar, when it fell victim to the accident. Several coaches of the train fell into the river, in which at least 120 people died. Railway officials described it as a case of sabotage, but its complete investigation could never be clear.5. Odisha's Balasore train accident (2023)The train accident in Balasore district of Odisha on 2 June 2023 shook the entire country. The accident included Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, Shalimar-Chennai Coromandal Express and a freight train. The Coromandel Express collided with a stable goods train, after which its coaches derailed and hit the other train. More than 296 people died and more than 1,200 were injured in the accident.
