Indian cricketer doing PhD, said- Cricket for 60 years… but studies will accompany you till death

New Delhi. Indian team and Kolkata Knight Riders cricketer Venkatesh Iyer is very conscious about studies. he/she revealed in an interview that he/she is very good in studies and is still studying. Venkatesh has said that he/she is doing PhD. Venkatesh has also advised other cricketers to complete their studies.

he/she said, “I come from an old-fashioned family, so it is difficult to explain to middle class parents that I will only play cricket. I was very good in studies. My parents wanted me to perform well in sports also. If a new player comes to the Madhya Pradesh team, the first thing I ask him/her is, ‘Are you studying or not?’ Because education will stay with you until you die. At the same time, a cricketer cannot play even for 60 years.”

Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw are ready to make their mark, will take the field on 11th December, at what time will we be able to watch the match?

he/she further said, “After this, if you really want to move ahead in life, then it is important for you to get educated. Education can completely separate me from sports. I don’t want to think about sports all the time. This increases pressure. If I can do two things at the same time, I will. Being educated helps me make better decisions on the field.

Venkatesh further said, “I want cricketers to educate themselves not only with cricket knowledge but also with general knowledge. If you can complete your graduation or post-graduation, you should definitely do so. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Finance. Next time you will interview me as Dr. Venkatesh Iyer.”
