Indian wicketkeeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha retired from all the formats of cricket on Saturday. he/she ended his/her brilliant career after playing his/her last Ranji Trophy group-stage match for Bengal against Punjab at the prestigious Eden Gardens. 40 -year -old Saha, who made his/her debut in international cricket in February 2010, has played 49 matches in all formats for India.

Saha said in an emotional post in ‘X’, “It has been 28 years since I have been stepping on the cricket field in 1997 and how it has been! Representing my country, state, district, club, university, college and school is the greatest honor of my life. Whatever I am today, every achievement, every learning. All this is the gift of this amazing game. Cricket has given me a moment of immense happiness, unforgettable victory and invaluable experience. It has tested me, has shaped me and taught me flexibility.
