Indian batsman reveals, Yuvraj Singh was very happy when I got out on zero

Harare. The Indian cricket team is on a tour of Zimbabwe after winning the ICC T20 World Cup. Team India has come to play a 5-match T20 series under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. After failing in the first match, young Indian opener Abhishek Sharma scored a brilliant century. Thanks to this innings, India registered a big win of 100 runs against Zimbabwe. After the victory, Abhishek revealed that when he/she got out on zero while making his/her debut in the first match, his/her mentor Yuvraj Singh was very happy.

Abhishek made his/her international debut for India on the tour against Zimbabwe but he/she returned without opening his/her account. Zimbabwe had set a target of 116 runs for India but the entire team was all out for 102 runs. The host team won the match by 13 runs and took the lead. Abhishek made a brilliant comeback and scored 100 runs in just 47 balls in the second T20, due to which India was successful in winning the match by 100 runs.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has posted a video in which Abhishek said, “I spoke to him/her (Yuvraj) yesterday (Saturday) and I don’t know why he/she was so happy when I got out on zero. he/she said it was a good start but now he/she will be happy like my family and he/she will be proud of me.”

Abhishek thanked Yuvraj for not only improving his/her skills on the cricket field but also supporting him/her off the field. he/she said, “he/she has played a very important role in whatever I am today. he/she worked hard to bring me here. he/she not only improved my skills on the cricket field but also helped me in my life off the field.”

After the match played on Sunday, Abhishek talked to Yuvraj and he/she was very happy with the performance of this young batsman. Yuvraj said, “Well done, I am proud of you. You deserved this. This is just the beginning. You will play many such innings in the future.”
