Indian astronauts will soon go to the space station, ISRO has a special plan… Union Minister Jitendra Singh revealed


New Delhi: India is preparing to send its first astronaut to the International Space Station soon. Minister Jitendra Singh has revealed this in the Lok Sabha. he/she said that a Gaganyatri of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will travel to the International Space Station (ISS). This will be a joint mission between ISRO, NASA and a private company, Axiom Space. ISRO has signed an agreement with Axiom Space for this mission. This mission can be launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida in August 2024.

‘Gaganyatri’ space mission in August

An ISRO official said that NASA and Axiom Space have signed an order for the fourth private astronaut mission to the International Space Station. It is unlikely to be launched before August 2024 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The Gaganyatri selected for the International Space Mission will be one of the four Indian Air Force pilots who are being trained for the Gaganyaan mission.

These four pilots were selected by a board of ISRO. All of them have taken training on the basic module of space travel in Russia. Currently, all of them are taking training at ISRO’s Astronaut Training Center in Bengaluru for the Gaganyaan mission. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that two out of three semesters of the Gaganyaan training program have been completed. The simulators and static mockups required for training are also ready. Some parts of the rocket that will carry humans to space are also ready. The Union Minister has given this answer to a question asked by TMC MP Saugata Roy in the Lok Sabha.

This special mission before Gaganyaan project

The Gaganyaan project is an ambitious mission of ISRO. Under this, three astronauts will be sent to a 400 km orbit for three days and will be brought back safely to Earth. This mission is expected to be launched in 2025. This mission is very important for India. With this, India will join a select group of countries that have the capability to send humans into space. This will further strengthen India’s position in the field of space science.
