Indian Army: Tank with eyes, Indian Army’s T-90 tank equipped with FPV drone, will detect the enemy from a distance.

New Delhi: The Indian Army has equipped its T-90 main battle tanks (MBT) with FPV (First Person View) drones. With this new technology, the tanks are now equipped with aerial surveillance capability, which will help a lot in keeping an eye on the enemies in the battlefield. A special place has been made in every T-90 tank where this drone is kept. This space not only keeps the drone safe but also helps it fly quickly. Additionally, tank crews can easily launch the drone from a special launch point on the tank’s hatch or turret.

Real-time video feed

Once airborne, the FPV drone sends a live video feed directly to the T-90’s command interface. Due to which they will be able to take their next step after estimating the enemy’s position. This drone can be controlled either manually or by the tank operator. Additionally, it can be pre-programmed for missions.

Will sense the enemy from a distance

With a live feed from the FPV drone, T-90 operators can more accurately assess the battlefield. This allows them to make strategic decisions faster, move through hostile areas with greater accuracy and reduce the threat. The FPV drone sends high-resolution feeds beyond the range of the tank’s standard optics or periscope. This enables the T-90 to assess threats.

Let us tell you that the Army currently has about 39 units of T-90 tanks. There are about 45 tanks in each unit. In this way, the army has more than 1700 T-90 tanks in total. Apart from this, the army has T-72 tanks, these were also taken from Russia.
