India won due to Mandhana’s six, South Africa was outclassed, series was tied


New Delhi. The Indian women’s cricket team leveled the three-match T20 series against South Africa with a 10-wicket win. After losing the first match, the second match was washed out due to rain. The third T20 was a do or die situation for India and the women established their dominance with a one-sided victory. Batting first, South Africa were bowled out for 84 runs in front of the deadly bowling of Pooja Vastrakar and Radha Yadav. Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana achieved the target of victory without losing any wicket and leveled the series 1-1.

The Indian women’s team has shown a brilliant game against South Africa. India lost the first match of the three-match T20 series by 12 runs. The second match could not be played due to rain. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss in the do-or-die third T20 match and decided to bowl first. The deadly bowling of Pooja Vastrakar and Radha Yadav did not give the South African batsmen a chance to play. Together they took 7 wickets and the entire team collapsed for 84 runs in 17.1 overs.

India won by 10 wickets
The Indian opening pair, who came out to chase the small target of 85 runs given by South Africa, scored runs freely. Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma never gave the South African bowlers a chance to make a comeback in this match. Mandhana played an unbeaten innings of 54 runs in 40 balls hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes. Shefali, on the other hand, played an innings of 27 runs in 25 balls.
