New Delhi: India has made its stand clear regarding Bangladesh. India wants crime free border with Bangladesh. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said this on Friday. Jaiswal said, ‘India wants to increase border security. It is also important to follow the agreements made between the two countries. Earlier, India had called the acting High Commissioner of Bangladesh. There were talks on border security. Bangladesh had also called the Indian High Commissioner. Talks were held on stopping crime on the border. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India is committed to stopping cross-border crime, smuggling and illegal trade. he/she said, ‘We have made our stand clear. We had called the Acting Deputy High Commissioner and made our position clear regarding fencing the border. We are committed to ensuring a crime-free border with Bangladesh by effectively curbing cross-border criminal activities, smuggling and illegal trade.

Jaiswal further said, ‘Things like barbed wire fencing, border lighting, installation of technical equipment and fencing for cattle are for border security. All previous agreements in this regard will be implemented by Bangladesh in a cooperative approach to combat such crimes. On cross-border terrorism, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘We are firm that terrorism, in whatever form it exists, needs to be fought with full force and we have also identified those countries which are involved in cross-border terrorism. Promote terrorism.

What did you say about Indians serving in the Russian Army being sent back?

The Ministry of External Affairs on Friday said that Russia has informed India that 16 Indians serving in the Russian Army are missing. The ministry said that Indian citizens serving in the Russian Army have been requested to be sent back. It said 12 Indians serving in the Russian Army have died so far. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘There are 126 cases (of Indian citizens serving in the Russian army). Of these 126, 96 have returned to India and have been freed from the Russian armed forces. he/she said, ‘There are still 18 Indian citizens in the Russian army, out of which the whereabouts of 16 are not known.’ Jaiswal said, ‘Russia has kept him/her in the category of missing. We demand that those who are still in the army be freed and sent back.
