India defeated Bangladesh by 60 runs at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. In this match, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was a hit with the bat while Sanju Samson, who came as an opener, disappointed. The Indian team will start its campaign in the T20 World Cup against Ireland on June 5. This match will be played at 8:00 pm according to Indian time.

Bangladesh (IND vs BAN) team, chasing the target of 183 runs, could only score 122 runs for 8 wickets. Arshdeep Singh and Shivam Dubey took 2 wickets each for India while Siraj, Bumrah, Akshar Patel, and Pandya took one wicket each. Pant is making a comeback in the Indian team after a horrific car accident in December 2022. he/she retired out after scoring 53 runs with the help of four fours and four sixes in a 32-ball innings on a slow pitch. With this innings, he/she overtook Sanju Samson as a contender for the wicketkeeper in the team.

Sanju Samson was a flop
Samson opened the innings with captain Rohit Sharma (23 runs in 19 balls) but he/she could score only one run in six balls. Virat Kohli is likely to open the Indian innings with Rohit in the main matches of the World Cup, but Kohli joined the team after reaching America on Friday. he/she was not a part of this practice match. Pant made a crucial partnership of 48 runs for the second wicket and 44 runs for the third wicket with Suryakumar Yadav (31).

Rishabh Pant hit a fifty in 32 balls
All-rounder Hardik Pandya contributed an unbeaten 40 off 23 balls by playing some big shots with ease in the last overs. Pant, who made a brilliant comeback to competitive cricket from IPL 2024, continued his/her rhythm here as well. he/she flicked a brilliant four on fine leg against Soumya Sarkar and sent the ball to the spectators with one hand against Mahmudullah Riyaz. After hitting sixes on consecutive balls against Shakib, he/she completed his/her half-century in 32 balls by hitting a four against this bowler in the 12th over and then retired out.

Hardik Pandya hit a hat-trick of sixes
Shivam Dubey got a reprieve on four runs but he/she could not take advantage of it. he/she was out after scoring 14 runs in 16 balls. India now needed to score runs quickly and Hardik lived up to this test. Hardik got a reprieve on 26 runs. he/she hit a hat-trick of sixes against left-arm spinner Tanveer Islam. After a disappointing campaign in the IPL, such an innings will definitely boost Hardik’s morale and the team management’s confidence in him/her.
