Kartarpur Sahib Corridor can be visited without visa

First of all, let us tell you that the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor agreement was signed between India and Pakistan on October 24, 2019, now its time limit has been extended for 5 years. To visit this holy place of the Sikh community, first you have to go to Pakistan and the special thing is that devotees are allowed to visit the Gurudwara without a visa. However, it is advisable to carry your passport with you when visiting a Gurudwara.

Entry fee for Kartarpur Corridor is not free. For this, a fee of 20 US dollars is charged from every pilgrim. Although the Indian government has appealed to Pakistan during the extension of the agreement to remove the entry fee, but till now Pakistan has not taken any decision in this regard.

Registration will have to be done before going to Kartarpur

Devotees who want to visit Kartarpur Gurudwara will have to register first to come here. To register, one has to go to the web portal (https://prakashpurb550.mha.gov.in). As soon as applicants fill the registration form and upload the required documents, they will be sent Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) documents through SMS/email. Which is a very important document. Along with this, do not forget to keep a passport and Aadhar card with a validity of at least 6 months with you.

After darshan, you can return to shopping, where all your documents will be checked once again. There are also many shops inside the complex, where you can also do shopping if you want. The good thing is, Indian Rupee is accepted here.

How to reach Kartarpur Sahib Corridor

You have to come to Amritsar before taking train/bus/airplane to Amritsar. After that you can take bus/train to Dera Baba Nanak. This will take approximately 1.5 hours. After this you can reach the border by taking a taxi or bus. If you are coming in your personal car, there is also space to park your car at the border. Let us tell you, buses run across the border to reach the Gurudwara, so that you can reach the Gurudwara comfortably.
