Everyone is fond of travelling, but a lot of credit for promoting places also goes to those countries which adopt various ways to attract tourists. Due to this, tourism also increases and people also get to know about the culture there. Last month, the World Economic Forum (WEF) released the Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI), in which Pakistan got a poor ranking, while India got a good position.
According to the latest report of the World Economic Forum, India has reached the 39th position in terms of tourism. This is also a matter of happiness because the atmosphere of travelling all over the world is returning to the pre-Covid level. Let us tell you which country is at which number in tourism.

America is on top

America is at the top of this list, but countries like Spain, France, Australia and Japan also come along with it. These 5 countries are at the top in terms of tourism this year. Germany has secured the 6th position. And Switzerland, Italy, China and UK are also included in the top 10 list.

In the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates tops the list with a ranking of 18. The UAE is followed by countries like Saudi Arabia (41), Qatar (53) and Bahrain (18). In terms of tourism in the index, the top 30 countries in the index together contributed 75% to the world’s travel and tourism economy in 2022. African countries are at the bottom of this list.

Pakistan stands at a poor ranking with 101 place. And this is also shocking because in the year 2022, Pakistan got a very good ranking, at that time this country came from 89 to 83rd position. At the same time, the ranking of Nepal and Bangladesh is 105 and 109. India’s ranking in the index is 39th and Sri Lanka is at 76th place.

According to TTDI, the ranking of the most popular countries for travel and tourism is decided on the basis of their business environment, travel policy, well-developed infrastructure along with natural and cultural attractions. This index is prepared with the help of the University of Surrey, UK. While deciding the list of the index, it is seen how suitable and comfortable the country makes travel and tourism.
