New Delhi. Even though there is still time for the ICC Champions Trophy to start, Indian cricketers have set their target. All-rounder Hardik Pandya said on Wednesday that India is ready to play its own style of cricket and the players are determined to bring the Champions Trophy home again. India last won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. he/she won this tournament held in England. The Indian team was joint winner with host Sri Lanka in the year 2002.

The Champions Trophy will be hosted by Pakistan from 19th February. The Indian team will not go to Pakistan due to security reasons. Its matches will be played in Dubai under the hybrid model. In this tournament of 8 teams, there are teams of Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand in India’s group. India will start its campaign with a match against Bangladesh on 20 February.

Hardik Pandya said in a statement issued by the ICC, ‘The return of the Champions Trophy will give a huge boost to cricket. This makes the ODI format interesting and relevant. This ICC tournament will give fans a new thrill. Hardik said in the video released for ICC’s ‘All on the Line’ campaign, ‘Every player of India is committed to bringing the trophy home again.’

The opening match of this tournament will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand on 19 February in Karachi. ICC has also released similar videos of Mohammad Nabi, Phil Salt, Shadab Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
