India, Croatia hold Foreign Office consultations in Delhi, discuss bilateral ties


India and Croatia held the 11th session of Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) on Tuesday and the two sides discussed the entire gamut of existing bilateral relations between the two countries.

The session was held in the national capital, with the Indian side led by Pawan Kapoor, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs and the Croatian side led by Petar Mihatov, Director General of Political Affairs, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. Croatia’s case.

“During the consultations, both sides comprehensively reviewed the existing bilateral relations including strengthening cooperation in the areas of trade and economic, defense and maritime, science and technology, innovation, research and development, tourism, culture and people-to-people relations,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.

Furthermore, both sides stressed the importance of strengthening cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

Sharing a post on Twitter, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “The 11th India-Croatia FOC was held in New Delhi today. Co-chaired by Secretary (West) @AmbKapoor and Director General of Political Affairs @MVEP_hr, Petar Mihatov. They reviewed the entire range of bilateral cooperation and also discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest.

The two sides also exchanged views on international cooperation, including cooperation at the United Nations and other multilateral fora.

They expressed satisfaction at the growing cooperation to further strengthen India-EU bilateral cooperation.

He also stressed the need for early conclusion of a comprehensive, balanced and mutually beneficial India-EU FTA.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. “The talks were held in a friendly and cordial atmosphere,” it said.

Furthermore, both countries agreed to hold the next consultations in Croatia’s capital, Zagreb, at a mutually convenient date.
