IND vs SA: Sanju Samson created history, became the first Indian to score 2 consecutive T20I centuries


New Delhi. Sanju Samson has created history by scoring a century in the very first match of the South Africa tour. Sanju has become the first Indian to score centuries in two consecutive T20 International matches. Sanju, who was in excellent form, completed his/her fifty in 27 balls. he/she batted more aggressively on the next 20 balls. Sanju completed his/her century on the 47th ball. he/she hit 9 sixes and 7 fours to cross the 100-run mark. he/she was out after scoring 108 runs in 50 balls. he/she was caught by Tristan Stubbs near the boundary line off the ball of Kabayomji Peter.

Sanju ready to take Rohit’s place
The South Africa series is considered very important for Sanju Samson. There is a vacancy for opener in the Indian team after Rohit Sharma’s T20 retirement. Sanju Samson is trying to achieve this place. he/she scored a century against Bangladesh last month. he/she then scored 11 runs in 27 balls. Now by playing an excellent innings against South Africa, he/she has given a message to the selectors that he/she is ready to replace Rohit.

Scored runs at a strike rate of 214
Sanju Samson played such a stormy innings against South Africa, as if he/she had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. he/she did not discriminate against African bowlers and thrashed them all. Fourth batsman in the world to score two consecutive centuries
Sanju Samson is only the fourth batsman in the world to score a century in T20 International matches. Before him/her, only Phil Salt of England, Riley Rossow of South Africa and Gustave Macon of France could achieve this feat.

India scored 202 runs
Thanks to Sanju Samson’s century, India has scored 202 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Apart from Samson, Tilak Verma played an excellent inning of 33 runs. Suryakumar Yadav was out after scoring 21 runs and Rinku Singh was out after scoring 11 runs. At one time India had scored 162 runs for 2 wickets in 14 overs. Then it seemed that India would score more than 220 runs. But the African team was successful in controlling the Indian batsmen in the last over. Indian batsmen scored only 40 runs in the last 6 overs.
