Ind vs NZ Test: Rishabh Pant did not keep wickets after being out for 99 runs


New Delhi. India made a strong comeback against New Zealand in the first match of the Test series being played under the ICC Test Championship. After being all out for 46 runs in the first innings, 462 runs were scored in the second innings. Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant batted brilliantly for India and scored 99 runs in this innings. Even though he/she missed the century, he/she got the team out of trouble. In the second innings, he/she did not come to do wicketkeeping, in his/her place Dhruv Jurel took this responsibility.

The Bengaluru Test brought difficulties for the Indian cricket team. After easily defeating Bangladesh, Team India, which came against New Zealand, collapsed for just 46 runs in the first innings. In reply, the Kiwi team scored 402 runs in the first innings and took a lead of 356 runs. In the second innings, Sarfaraz Khan batted brilliantly and scored the first century of his/her Test career. he/she was out after scoring 150 runs on 195 balls. he/she was supported by Rishabh Pant but he/she missed out on scoring a century by 1 run.

Didn’t keep wickets after getting out for 99 runs
Rishabh Pant played such an innings in the second innings of the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand which helped Team India out of trouble in the match. his/her 177-run partnership with Sarfaraz Khan for the fourth wicket turned the match. India scored 462 runs in the second innings and gave New Zealand a target of 107 runs. Rishabh Pant was seen in trouble several times while hitting shots before being out on 99 runs.

he/she suffered a knee injury while keeping wickets in the first innings. Even while batting, he/she took a medical break and called the physio on the field. For this reason, when the Indian team came to bowl on the fourth day in the second innings, Rishabh Pant did not come to do wicketkeeping. Even on the fifth day, Dhruv Jurel took up this responsibility.
