IND vs NZ: Team India is scared of just one defeat… Why did Gavaskar raise questions on Rohit brigade?

New Delhi. India made 3 changes in the playing eleven within a week of losing the first test match to New Zealand. Call it the effect of the defeat in the first test match or a necessity, but 3 changes are rarely seen. Former legend Sunil Gavaskar considers it as nervousness. he/she says that for the second Test against New Zealand, India might have nervously included Washington Sundar in place of Kuldeep Yadav in the playing eleven.

The Indian team made three changes in its team for the second test. Host team India included Akash Deep and Shubman Gill in place of Mohammed Siraj and KL Rahul respectively. Also, off-spinner Washington has been given a chance in place of wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

Most wickets: Ashwin leaves Lion behind, now Australia’s second great is on target, Kumble is also not far away

Sunil Gavaskar, who was commentating in the live match, said after the toss, ‘This seems to be a nervous decision of the Indian team. You don’t often make three changes in the team. After losing the first Test by eight wickets last week, India is trailing 0-1 in the three-match series. Rohit Sharma’s team was out for 46 runs in the first innings of the Bengaluru Test.

Gavaskar said, ‘Unless there is a concern about injury, I do not see many teams making three changes. The inclusion of Washington Sundar shows that they are worried about their batting. More than his/her bowling, they need his/her batting in the lower order. he/she said, ‘Yes, there is a lot of discussion about left-handed batsmen in the New Zealand team. But I will choose Kuldeep Yadav because his/her ball moves outside for left-handed batsmen.
