IND vs NZ: Santner created havoc by taking 13 wickets, India’s shameful defeat in Pune, New Zealand won the series


New Delhi. India also had to face defeat in the second test against New Zealand. Team India lost by 113 runs in the test match played in Pune. New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner gave India a tough time. he/she troubled Team India by taking total wickets. Santner took 7 wickets in the first innings. Whereas in the second innings he/she took 6 wickets in his/her name. Chasing the target of 359 runs, the Indian team was all out for 245 runs. Only Yashasvi Jaiswal played a good innings for India.

Indian team’s batsmen surrendered in the test series against New Zealand. The team which was all out for 46 runs in the first innings of Bangalore Test proved to be a flop in Pune also. In the first innings of the second match, the Indian team collapsed for 156 runs while in the second innings it could score only 245 runs. Apart from Yashasvi Jaiswal, no other player could bat well. The New Zealand team took an unassailable 2-0 lead by winning two consecutive matches in the three-match series.

Mitchell Santner’s havoc
While bowling the best of his/her Test career, Mitchell Santner silenced the formidable batsmen of the Indian team. In the first innings, this spinner took 7 wickets for just 53 runs in 19.3 overs. he/she wreaked havoc in the second innings also and did the feat of taking 6 wickets. In this match, Santner took a total of 12 wickets, which is the best bowling performance of his/her Test career. Before this he/she had never taken even 5 wickets in an innings. Santner’s best performance was taking 3 wickets for 34 runs in an innings.

New Zealand won the series in India for the first time
This is the first time that the New Zealand team, which has been touring India since 1955, has won a Test series in India. Whenever the New Zealand team toured India, the result was not in their favor. In the years 1969-1970 and 2003-2004, the New Zealand team was successful in drawing the series in India. India has lost a Test series to New Zealand at home for the first time.
