New Delhi. Team India has been announced for the Test series against Bangladesh. Players like Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel have been given a chance in the series. The Indian team will play Test matches under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma from September 19. The selectors have dropped a total of 4 players for this series. There is one player in the list who was dropped from the team despite scoring runs.

Devdutt Padikkal made his/her Test debut for India against England in Dharamsala on 7 March 2024. he/she came to bat at number 4 for the Rohit Sharma-led side and scored 65 runs off 103 balls. Despite scoring fifty runs on Test debut, he/she is not part of the Indian team for the first Test against Bangladesh.

Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar was part of India’s Test team in the last series against England, he/she got a chance to play in only one match in the series. he/she missed taking a wicket in the first innings, but was successful in dismissing an English batsman in the second innings. Mukesh is not a part of the Test series against Bangladesh.

Rajat Patidar made his/her Test debut against England in Vizag. he/she played three matches. In which he/she scored a total of 63 runs. he/she was ruled out of the fifth Test match due to injury. Due to poor performance, he/she did not get a chance in the series against Bangladesh.

Wicketkeeper-batsman KS Bharat played in the first two Test matches against England. But his/her performance was not very good. After which he/she was dropped from the playing XI, but remained a part of the Test team. KS made his/her Test debut for India against Australia in Nagpur on 9 February 2023. he/she is not a part of the series against Bangladesh.
