Ind Vs Ban: 50% of spectators will sit at the stand in Green Park which PWD has declared dangerous


Kanpur: The number of spectators in the gallery has been decided for the test match between India and Bangladesh to be held from 27 September at Green Park Stadium. Now more than 26,000 spectators will be able to enjoy this match. PWD had declared one of the stands of the stadium as weak, after which spectators were banned from sitting there. But after the safety report and repair by HBTU, spectators will now be able to sit in that balcony as well. This balcony will have a seating capacity of 1,700 spectators on the top and 1,900 on the bottom.

The venue director of Green Park informed that 5,000 extra seats have been made available this time as compared to the test match held three years ago. The balcony which was earlier declared dangerous has been repaired and after safety check, permission has been granted for seating of spectators.

floodlights are perfectly fine
Venue director Sanjay Kapoor said that all the floodlights of Green Park are in good condition and the ground is completely ready for the match. he/she said that this time the audience will get to see a great match in Kanpur.

Adequate arrangements to protect from rain
The ground has been covered due to light rain in Kanpur. The venue director also said that excellent drainage system has been made in the stadium to deal with the rain, and two super shopper machines are also available so that the ground can be dried quickly.

A celebration for Kanpur
Venue Director Dr. Sanjay Kapoor said, “Green Park Stadium has been fully decorated and all preparations for the match have been completed. This match will be like a festival not only for Green Park but for the whole of Kanpur.”
