Ind vs Aus: Will Mohammed Shami play in the last 2 test matches? Captain Rohit Sharma gave a big update

New Delhi. One of the biggest questions in Indian cricket that is in the heart of every Indian fan today is when will Mohammed Shami join the team. After mediocre performance in India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Shami’s importance in the team has increased further. But is Shami still fully fit? This question is also in everyone’s heart. We last saw Shami for Team India on 19th November in the ICC ODI World Cup final between India vs Australia and since then Shami has been out of the team for a long time due to injury. We did not see him/her in the team even in the ICC T20 World Cup.

However, Shami has definitely made a comeback in cricket recently. he/she has recently played many domestic cricket matches and is also paying a lot of attention to his/her fitness. he/she was seen playing for Bengal in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024. After this, he/she has also been included in the team of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who is present in Australia, gave an important update on Shami’s fitness.

Team India captain Rohit Sharma, while talking to the press, said, “I think it is time that someone from the NCA should talk about him/her.” That is our National Cricket Academy where he/she is rehabbing. They are the ones who need to come forward and give us some kind of update. But look, I understand that he/she is playing a lot of cricket at home, but there are some complaints about his/her knee also.”

Rohit further said, “The last thing you want is for a player to come here and then leave in the middle of the game. You know what happens when things like this happen. That’s why we don’t want to take any chances unless we are 100-200 percent sure that we are taking any risk.

Now it remains to be seen when Mohammed Shami returns to the team and once again we will be able to see the pair of Bumrah, Shami and Siraj in the field. Shami will be seen playing for Bengal in the Vijay Hazare Trophy to be held from 21st December.
