IND vs AUS Test: Rain hit on the first day, but the spectators’ money was recovered, the board lost crores of rupees

New Delhi. The spectators who reached the stadium to watch the third Test between India and Australia were disappointed. On the first day of the match for which he/she had taken tickets long ago, only 13.2 overs could be played on Saturday. Due to this, they had to return disappointed. There is good news for these spectators who returned from Gabba that they will get the full money back from Cricket Australia (CA).

The spectators will get this money because of a rule of Cricket Australia. This rule says that if less than 15 overs are bowled during a day’s play in a Test match, then the spectators will get the full ticket money back. This means that if 10 more balls had been bowled, CA would not have had to refund more than one million Australian dollars (about Rs 5.40 crore).

Cricket Australia said 30,145 fans will get full refund as less than 15 overs of play were completed. The country’s cricket governing body has insurance to cover losses caused by bad weather.

Let us tell you that the third Test between India and Australia started on Saturday at the Gabba Stadium in Brisbane. Seeing the clouds in the sky, India won the toss and chose to bowl first. India could not get the benefit because only 13.2 overs were played in the day. Australia scored 28 runs in these overs without losing any wicket. The rest of the day’s play was lost to rain.
