IND vs AUS: Separate preparation for Pink Ball Test… What Cummins called normal, the veteran considered it difficult.

New Delhi. The Indian team has taken a 1-0 lead over host Australia in the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. But Australian legend Steve Smith does not seem to be under more pressure than this. Smith is looking at the day-night Test to be held from December 6 as a chance to make a comeback. Smith said that his/her ‘focus’ is on dealing with the challenges of the Test played with pink ball. India-Australia second test will be played in Adelaide from Friday.

Star Sports, which is broadcasting the India-Australia Test series live, has released the video of Steve Smith. Smith said in the video, ‘The pink ball provides different challenges at different times of the day or night. It depends on where you are batting. What are the conditions and other things like the position of the ball at that time?

Steve Smith, who is counted among the modern Fab Four, said, ‘I want to be fully prepared in such a situation. The pink ball sometimes does unexpected things. In such a situation, one has to concentrate completely.

Australia captain Pat Cummins also talked about the challenges of playing Tests with the pink ball, but believes that the basics of the game will remain the same. Cummins said, ‘I think all the basics will be like a normal Test match. You know sometimes the game moves at a different pace as the ball gets older and softer but this is Test cricket. You have to be prepared for every situation.
