IND vs AUS 2nd Test Report: The Indian team, which had raised hopes after its spectacular victory in the Perth Test, has shamefully surrendered in Adelaide. The Indian batsmen who had defeated the Australian pacers in Perth could not stay at the crease even for a day in Adelaide. Result: Australia defeated India by 10 wickets in the second test match played with pink ball. With this win, Australia has leveled the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series at 1-1. Not only this, Australia has also captured the top spot in the WTC points table by pushing India to third position. The third match of the series will be played at Gabba Stadium in Brisbane from 14 December.

The second Test between India and Australia was played in Adelaide from 6 to 8 December. The five-day day-night test was to last till December 10, but Australia won it in just two and a half days. Australia’s pace bowlers dominated this match played with pink ball. he/she restricted India to 180 runs in the first innings and 175 runs in the second innings. Australia’s three pacers took all the wickets in both the innings. Mitchell Starc took the maximum of 6 wickets in the first innings while captain Pat Cummins took the lead in the second innings.

Batted 81 overs including both innings
In a test match, 90 overs are usually played in a day. Talking about Indian batsmen, they could not stay at the crease for 90 overs even in both the innings combined. Australia bowled out India in 44.1 overs in the first innings. India’s second innings was limited to 36.5 overs. In this way, India could bat only 81 overs including both the innings.

Hope broke as soon as Pant was out
In reply to India’s 180 runs, Australia scored 337 runs in the first innings. In this way he/she got a lead of 157 runs in the first innings. In response, India had scored 128 runs for 5 wickets by the end of the second day’s play. India started playing with this score on the third day. When India started batting on the third day, Rishabh Pant and Nitish Reddy were at the crease. Pant was out without adding a single run to his/her score on the second day and with this India’s hopes of a comeback were dashed.

Nitish Reddy avoided innings defeat
After losing the sixth wicket in the form of Pant on the score of 128, India started fearing the defeat of the innings. Nitish Kumar Reddy saved India from this shameful situation. Like the first innings, he/she scored 42 runs in the second innings also. he/she took India to 166 runs. On this score, Nitish was caught at third man while playing uppercut. he/she was out as the ninth batsman. After 9 runs, as soon as Siraj was out, the Indian team was all out for 175 runs. In this way, Australia got the target of 19 runs to win, which it achieved without losing any wicket.
