IND vs AUS: 5 heroes of India, turned the tables in Perth, converted the defeat in front into victory and created history

New Delhi. After being bundled out for 150 runs on the very first day against Australia, hardly any team would have thought of winning. India not only thought like this in the Perth Test but also converted the defeat in front of them into victory. The Indian team defeated Australia by 295 runs in the first test match. With this, Australia’s Vijay Rath, which has been running since 2018 at Optus Stadium in Perth, has come to a halt. With this victory, India has again become number-1 in the WTC points table by defeating Australia. In fact, every player of India had a contribution in making a counterattack and victory in Perth. But if 5 heroes have to be chosen from these 11 players then they can be Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Nitish Reddy.

1. Kangaroo injured by Bumrah’s punch
After the team was all out for 150 runs in the first innings, the eyes of every Indian fan were on captain Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah also did not disappoint and took 5 wickets. Thanks to this performance of Bumrah, India restricted Australia to 104 runs in the first innings. Jasprit Bumrah led from the front in the second innings also and brought great success to India. The manner in which Bumrah dismissed Travis Head in the second innings was like a lesson for the new bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets in the second innings. In this way he/she took a total of 5 wickets in the match.

2. Historic innings of Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was out for 0 in the first innings, played a big role in India’s victory. he/she scored 161 runs in the second innings. With this, Yashasvi Jaiswal became the Indian opener who played the biggest innings in Australia. Yashasvi is also the third Indian to score a century in his/her first Test match in Australia. Before him/her, only ML Jaisimha and Sunil Gavaskar could do this feat.

3. KL Rahul played strongly in both the innings
KL Rahul is among those Indian cricketers who have been with the team for 10 years, but are not sure about their place. Sarfaraz Khan was dropped and replaced in the playing eleven of the second Test match against New Zealand. Lokesh Rahul, accustomed to such ups and downs, played such an innings in Perth that he/she made the fans his/her fans. When wickets were falling rapidly in the first innings, he/she played 74 balls and scored 26 runs. KL was in form again in the second innings. This time he/she scored 77 runs and made a partnership of 201 runs with Yashasvi Jaiswal. This is the record for the highest opening partnership of any Indian pair in Australia.

4. Virat Kohli’s 30th century
Like Yashasvi, Virat Kohli also converted the failure of the first innings into a century in the second innings. When Virat came to bat in the second innings, India’s score was 275 runs for 2 wickets. But within a short time the score became 321 runs for 5 wickets. Virat took charge from here and took India to the score of 487/6. Virat scored the last 50 runs of his/her century in just 49 runs in ODI style.

5. All-rounder game of debutant Nitish Reddy
There may be some difficulty in choosing the fifth hero in India’s victory. For this there is a contest between Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana. Harshit Rana played a big role in bowling out Australia for 104 runs by taking 3 wickets in the first innings. On the other hand, Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 41 runs in the first innings and 38 runs in the second innings. Apart from this, he/she also bowled Mitchell Marsh in the second innings of Australia. In all this, Nitish’s 41 runs in the first innings were very important. If he/she had not played this innings, it would have been difficult for India to reach 100. Interestingly, this was the debut test match of both Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana.
