Income Tax Department has launched AIS for Taxpayer Mobile App for the convenience of taxpayers.

The Income Tax Department has recently launched a mobile application called AIS for Taxpayers, which aims to provide taxpayers with convenience. The app is completely free of cost and can be downloaded by visiting Google Play or App Store. Taxpayers will be able to view their Annual Information Statement (AIS) and Taxpayer Information Summary (TIS) by using this app.

AIS and TIS are the details of all financial transactions conducted by taxpayers during a financial year, which the tax department collects from different sources. Taxpayers can view details related to TDS and TCS, as well as interest, dividend, share transactions, payment of tax, income tax refund, GST data, foreign remittance, and other information, all through this mobile app. Additionally, taxpayers have the option to provide feedback regarding the information displayed in the app.

To access this app, taxpayers must register using their PAN number. They will also need to verify their identity through the OTP sent to their registered mobile number and email ID on the e-filing portal. Furthermore, taxpayers can set a 4 digit pin number to access this mobile app.

The Income Tax Department believes that this facility will assist taxpayers in complying with the tax regulations. It is important for taxpayers to take care of all financial transactions during the financial year, as the Income Tax Department now has AIS and TIS to prevent tax evasion. Therefore, it is necessary for taxpayers to stay informed and utilize the AIS for Taxpayers mobile application to their advantage.
