Khesari Lal Yadav’s Bhojpuri film ‘Aashiqui’ was released in theaters on 4 March 2022. The film was based on social issues like untouchability and inter-caste marriages. In this film, Khesari Lal Yadav played the role of Raja, a Brahmin caste boy who falls in love with a lower caste girl Ganga. Amrapali Dubey played the role of Ganga in this film. Directed by Parag Patil, the film was produced by Pradeep Sharma. This film has been a hit. The special thing about this film is that the story of the film was written by Khesari Lal Yadav himself.

In the Bhojpuri film Dulhania London Se Laayenge, Khesari Lal Yadav plays the role of Raja, an unemployed village boy who goes to London to work with his/her friend Govardhan. In London, Raja meets a British girl, Jennifer, with whom he/she falls in love. The story takes a new twist when Raja meets Radha, a runaway girl from India who runs away to London on the day of her wedding. Apart from Khesari Lal Yadav, Madhu Sharma and British actress Grace Rhodes were in lead roles in this film. Directed by Rajneesh Mishra, the film was released in theaters on 13 May 2022. The film proved to be average at the box office.

Rowdy Inspector (5 August 2022)

Bhojpuri movie ‘Rowdy Inspector’ is an action thriller movie. In this film Khesari Lal Yadav played the role of Inspector Suraj. Suraj is hurt by the murder of his/her wife and daughter and drowns himself in alcoholism. The story takes a turn when Suraj exposes the serial murders happening in the city. Meghasree was in the lead role with Khesari Lal Yadav in this film. Sai Kiran played the role of a serial killer in the film. This film was directed by Shankar, the director of South films. The film was released on 5 August 2022 in Mumbai, Gujarat and on 11 August in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. After the Bhojpuri film ‘Aashiqui’, the romantic pairing of Khesari Lal Yadav and Amrapali Dubey was once again seen in ‘Doli Saja Ke Rakhna’. The film was based on the emotional relationship between a father and son. Based on the formation of a family and deteriorating relationship, the film also shows the change in relationships regarding women power. The film was simultaneously released in 100 cinemas including India and Nepal including 25 multiplex theatres.
