In the first week, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ spread smiles, now don’t let the ghost ‘Munjya’ take over your mind

Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ has completed its first week at the box office. Released on National Cinema Lovers Day, this film has brought smiles to the theatres in the first seven days. This sports-drama film has earned around Rs 25 crore. However, Divya Khosla’s ‘Saavi’, which was released along with it, has proved to be a flop. While ‘Shrikant’ has put in all its effort in its fourth week and has crossed 45 crores. Now, on Friday, the horror-comedy ‘Munjya’ has been released. It is quite possible that this may become a problem for ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ in the future. The best thing for ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’, directed by Sharan Sharma, is that in its first week, this film has earned more than 1.5 crores every day. According to the report of sacnilk, the film has done a business of Rs 1.75 crore on Thursday, the last day of the week. Thus, the film has made a net collection of Rs 24.45 crore in the first seven days.

The budget of ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ is Rs 40 crore

The budget of ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ is said to be Rs 40 crores. In this sense, the film has earned more than half of its cost in the first week. The audience occupancy of the film on Thursday was also around 11%. If the film has to be a hit, then special emphasis will have to be given on earnings in the second week, because the horror-comedy ‘Munjya’ was released on Friday. If this film succeeds in scaring and making the audience laugh, then it can harm Rajkumar and Janhvi’s film. Especially when the number of audience reaching the cinema halls is already so low.

‘Munjya’ is getting praise, there may be manipulation in earning

Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, who scared and tickled the audience in films like ‘Stree’ and ‘Bhediya’, have come up with ‘Munjya’ this time. This film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. The trailer of the film has received a good response and now critics have also given it a good rating. This film is completely based on content and word of mouth. If it impresses the audience, then it can create a sensation like ‘Stree’. Especially, when Abhay Verma and Sharvari Wagh have brought freshness in the film, there are also strong actors like Mona Singh and Sathyaraj.

‘Munjya’ can earn 1-2 crores on the first day

‘Munjya’ has received a good response in the morning shows. In the morning and afternoon shows, 11 out of 100 chairs were occupied by the audience. This number will increase further in the evening and night shows. In such a situation, it is estimated that ‘Munjya’ can make a net collection of Rs 1-2 crore on the first day. While a strong jump in its earnings can be seen during the weekend.

‘Saavi’ earned only 7.02 crores in the first week

On the other hand, Divya Khosla Kumar’s ‘Saavi’ has proved to be a flop in its first week. After the first weekend, the film’s collection has been falling from crores to lakhs in the last four days. In seven days, ‘Saavi’ has made a net collection of only Rs 7.02 crore. On Thursday, this thriller film has made a business of only Rs 37 lakh.

‘Srikanth’ earned Rs 45.75 crore in four weeks

Apart from all this, ‘Srikanth’ has also put in a lot of effort in its fourth week at the box office. Made on a budget of Rs 40 crore, this film has earned Rs 45.75 crore in four weeks. On Thursday, the 28th day of its release, it earned Rs 40 lakh. The whole effort is to make the film earn Rs 50 crore in its lifetime. It also has a chance to earn crores in the weekend. But this path is a bit difficult due to the release of ‘Munjya’ and Hollywood film ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’.
