IIT Delhi Courses: IIT Delhi will provide BTech in Design, know what are the benefits, how to get admission

Admission to IIT Design Courses: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will start a four-year B.Tech in Design course from the next session. Admissions to this course will be done solely on the basis of JEE (Advanced) rankings. However, students will also have to qualify the Design Aptitude Test, UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design). There will be 20 seats in this course.

According to IIT, this course has been designed keeping in mind those creative students who focus on understanding the social technical systems around them and creating solutions for the problems present in these systems. Students pursuing B.Tech Design will be able to learn about techniques, systematic design, thinking process and teamwork etc. in this course.

Benefits of doing BTech in Design

IIT Delhi has several departments, centers and schools covering science, engineering, management, humanities, social sciences and policy. This course will enhance easy collaboration and partnership between the design department and other departments, centers and schools. BTech in Design at IIT Delhi will have a special focus on product design. Its aim is to prepare students in such a way that after completing the course they are able to solve problems in industry and society.

Prof. Jyoti Kumar, HOD, Department of Design, IIT Delhi said that we hope that after getting a BTech in Design degree from IIT Delhi, students will lead in business, education, politics, consultancy and entrepreneurship. This program will give students enough options and freedom to experiment with different career paths.
