IGIA: Woman kept her hand bag on X-ray, when she opened it after examination, she was shocked


Delhi Airport: During the pre-embarkation security check, a woman placed her handbag in the X-ray and entered the women’s booth for security check. After getting her security checked, this woman reached near the X-ray machine. As soon as he picked up his bag, he became suspicious after seeing its condition. After which, when he opened his bag, he was shocked to see the sight inside.

Actually, this matter pertains to Terminal 3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. A woman named Richa Bhagat has claimed through her X account that she had to leave for Patna by Air India flight. During the domestic transfer security check at Terminal 3, she placed her hand bag on the X-ray machine and then went to the CISF security booth to get her frisking done.

Jewelery worth lakhs of rupees missing from the bag
After getting her frisking done, when she again reached the outer belt of the X-ray machine, she became suspicious after seeing the condition of the bag. To clear his doubt, as soon as he opened his bag, he was shocked to see the sight inside. Richa Bhagat claims that jewelery worth Rs 1.5 to 2 lakh kept inside her bag has gone missing. He has lodged an e-FIR in this regard with the airport police.

All security agencies came under attack
At the same time, all the security agencies are in shock after the incident of jewelery theft came to light during the security check. Since, there is a strict presence of many CISF officers at the place where this incident took place and intelligence officers keep a close watch through CCTV cameras. Therefore, this incident has raised many questions on the security arrangements. Meanwhile, after the complaint, CISF and Delhi Police have started their investigation.

Richa was stunned by the airline’s reply
At the same time, Richa Bhagat is stunned to know the response from Air India regarding this matter. Actually, Air India has written in its response that Madam, we are sorry for the trouble you faced at the airport. However, it is the responsibility of the passengers to take care of their personal belongings during the flight and in various areas of the airport. Therefore, the airline cannot be held liable for any loss or damage.
