The circadian rhythm affects the production and release of hormones such as melatonin, estrogen and progesterone. All these hormones are necessary for the development and maturation of the egg in the ovary.

Dr. Nisha says that when we stay in light at night, the level of melatonin in our body falls and the level of estrogen increases. This causes hormonal imbalance and creates problems in ovulation. Apart from this, menstrual cycles become unbalanced due to this and the quality of eggs is also affected.

The doctor said that many studies have also proved that women who work in night shifts or who are exposed to light for a long time at night, their fertility is very weak and they have a higher risk of ovarian cancer and miscarriage.

Doctors recommend turning off the lights and sleeping in the dark. You should turn off your electronic devices about an hour before going to bed at night.
