Young children feel safe among their family and their people. Parents also feel relieved that they are getting a safe environment. However, nowadays most of the parents are working, due to the absence of other members in the family, they have to leave their child in day care or crèche.

Parents leave their child in day care but they are worried that their child’s physical and mental health should not be affected. You should wait till the child is 1 year old to send him/her to day care. This is because by this time the child starts eating some solids, is not completely dependent on mother’s milk and is able to express his/her needs better. One year old children learn to live without parents for a long time.

First of all, ask yourself if your child will be able to live with strangers. Will he/she be able to spend time alone with toys? If you do not have the answers to these questions, then do not hurry. Overall, send your child only when you yourself are ready for it.
