Doctor Rashmi says that if you have installed a heater in your baby’s room, then never leave the baby alone in the room while it is on. During this time he/she should always have someone with him/her. If you leave your baby alone near the heater, there can be a fear of an accident.

Direct air from the heater should not blow on the baby. Apart from this, the heater or blower should be in a safe place. Keeping these two things in mind, you can use the heater in your child’s room.

Children are very mischievous and try to catch everything they see. Heating devices may contain current, so keep them out of the reach of children. Keep the heater at a comfortable temperature setting. Make arrangements to avoid any kind of accident and electrocution. This will keep both you and your child safe.

While using a heater or blower inside the room, keep in mind that the air in the room should not be too dry. Apart from this, if the child’s hair is getting wet or he/she is sweating while using the heater, then it means that the child is feeling hot.

If the baby is feeling hot on the stomach, the cheeks are turning red, he/she is breathing fast, he/she is becoming irritable or he/she is getting a stinging rash, then you should try to relax the baby by turning off the heater. If necessary, you can also show the child to the doctor.
