On this night there is a tradition of sitting in the moonlight and making kheer. It is believed that there is rain of nectar on this Sharad Purnima night. Apart from this, it is argued that the moon’s rays on this night are full of medicinal properties and provide relief from many diseases. That’s why people make kheer and keep it in moonlight.

Kheer kept in the shade of the moon is eaten the next day. In such a situation, if you want to eat delicious kheer, then you should know the right recipe to make it and the right time to add cashews and almonds. So that apart from nectar and medicinal properties, you can also get better taste. With the special recipe given by us, not only will the kheer be prepared quickly, but it will be liked by everyone in the house, both children and elders.

Material

  • one liter full cream milk
  • 10 almonds
  • 14 to 15 saffron threads
  • one spoon ghee
  • half cup kheer rice
  • sugar as per taste
  • a teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 8-10 cashews and 5-6 pistachios

To make quick and tasty kheer, first wash and clean the rice thoroughly. After this, soak them in water for about half an hour. Now after putting one spoon of ghee in a pan, add soaked rice and fry it for 2 minutes.

While preparing rice, keep milk in the pan to heat. Also finely chop badaj-kabu and pistachios. When the milk starts getting slightly hot, take out some milk with the help of a bowl and soak the saffron threads in it. Apart from this, when the milk becomes too hot, add rice into it.

When the milk mixed with rice starts to thicken slightly, then you have to add sugar, finely chopped almonds, cashew-pistachios. After stirring everything for a while, add cardamom powder also. By adding cashew nuts and almonds while making this, they get cooked well and their flavor also gets mixed well in the kheer.

Now it comes to the question of when to add saffron, when the sweet aroma starts coming from the kheer, add saffron mixed in milk. Now mix the kheer well with a large spoon and leave it to cook for 10 minutes. After the stipulated time, your kheer will be completely ready.
