Pregnancy is a difficult journey and women have to endure a lot during this period. After vomiting and nausea in the first trimester, there may be complaints of constipation, backache and waist pain. In the last trimester of pregnancy, women also face the problem of swelling. Even though it does not cause pain, hands and feet get swollen.

Drinking water is said to reduce swelling. Keeping the body hydrated reduces fluid retention in the peripheral tissues. Consuming asparagus, celery, carrots, watermelon, cucumber, tomatoes, parsley, eggplant, cranberry juice, cabbage, apple cider vinegar, beetroot, ginger and lemon helps flush out fluid retention in the body.

This will not only reduce swelling but will also provide relief from pain. You can also take a bath by adding a cup of rock salt to the bath water but the bath water should be lukewarm. You can also add some essential oils such as lavender, rosemary or mint oil to it.
