If we divide, we will be cut… Why does BJP seem to be divided on slogans? It won’t backfire like ‘…crossing 400’

New Delhi : From assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand to by-elections in UP, campaigning is going on vigorously. Amidst this campaign, there is a lot of discussion about one of the slogans raised by BJP in the election campaign, ‘Bantenge to Katenge’. The slogan given by UP CM Yogi Adityanath seems to have become the biggest election weapon of the party. After this slogan, PM Modi has also given a slogan on these lines.

The opposition is continuously criticizing Yogi’s slogan of ‘Bantege to Katenge’. The special thing is that voices have started being raised regarding this slogan not only from within the BJP led NDA but also from within the party. In such a situation, the question is arising whether this slogan will not backfire like 400 crosses this time.

If we divide, we will be cut… Has this slogan of BJP caused division in NDA?

If we divide we will be divided… but voice raised in BJP

The special thing is that after the differences in NDA in the political corridors regarding CM Yogi’s slogan, now voices have started being raised against the slogan from within the party itself. The situation is that the party leaders are clearly speaking against this slogan. If we divide, we will be cut… Those who raised their voice against the slogan include party leader from Maharashtra Pankaja Munde and former state CM and Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Chavan. Why are opposing voices rising within the party?

UP CM Yogi Adityanath is discussing this slogan in every election meeting. This slogan of Yogi is also resonating a lot in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, along with Mahayuti, party leaders also seem uncomfortable with this statement. Party leaders clearly say that there is no need for such slogans in Maharashtra.

It (slogan) has no relevance. Slogans are given at the time of elections. This particular slogan is not right and I don’t think people will appreciate it. Personally speaking, I am not in favor of such slogans. Every political official has to take a decision after thinking a lot. We also have to see that no one’s sentiments are hurt.

Ashok Chavan, Rajya Sabha MP, BJP

MLC Pankaja Munde, daughter of senior party leader Gopinath Munde, said that I will not support this slogan just because Yogi Adityanath and I are from the same party. I believe that we should work only for development. Pankaja clearly said that it is the job of a leader to make every person living on this land his/her own. Therefore no such issue should be brought up in Maharashtra.

I don’t think people will like it. I am not in favor of such slogans. The former CM said, personally speaking, development is my only agenda. That’s why despite my changing party, people appreciate my stand. Chavan had joined BJP in February this year after being associated with Congress for a long time.

It’s just a part of speech. This was said by CM Yogi.
