If the borders had remained secure, India would have progressed faster… Why did NSA Doval say this?

New Delhi: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Friday said India is progressing at a fast pace and will achieve greater heights economically and militarily in the coming years. However, he/she regretted that if India’s borders were more secure, the country could have progressed more quickly. NSA Doval was delivering the Rustamji memorial lecture at the BSE investiture ceremony on Friday. During this, he/she said, ‘If our borders in the west and north were secure, the progress of our country could have been faster.’ Lauding the government’s effort to achieve ‘self-reliance’ in all sectors including defence, he/she said India will emerge as a major arms exporter in the next ten years.

In fact, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had recently told how India’s defense exports have increased from Rs 600-800 crore in 2014 to Rs 31 thousand crore in 2024 and it is expected to cross Rs 50 thousand crore in the next five years. . While addressing the BSF program, NSA Doval said, ‘Today India is changing, we are living in changing times. In the next 10 years, our country will not only be one of the leading economies of the world, but will also be among the most advanced countries and military power in the world. The country will be self-reliant. India, till now an importer of arms and equipment, has now become its major exporter.

Doval said that the Modi government has paid special attention to the security of our borders. Its result is visible today. Doval said, ‘The Prime Minister celebrates every Diwali with BSF, ITBP and Army personnel on remote borders.’ he/she also credited the Prime Minister for surveying 12 thousand villages along the border and said that if the big leaders in power understand the seriousness and importance of the borders, then half the work is done automatically.
