If we talk about the cremation of a person, then it costs a lot to go to another city. A person first hires an ambulance and then there is a separate expense to go to the family members. In such a situation, a person thinks that the dead body should be taken by train only.
Booking will have to be done by going to the railway station
For this, you will first have to go to the railway station and you can book a train on the route to which you want to take the body. Please note, there is no online process for this, you will have to go to the railway station for booking.
If death occurs in the hospital then this facility will be available
No charge will be taken by the railway for this work. If you make the booking, then a railway attendant will take the body to the place where the booking is done. The Railway Board has now implemented this new system. If a person dies during treatment in a government hospital or a big hospital or a district hospital, then he/she will be given this facility.
This much will be the carrying charge
For this facility, the family members will have to go to the railway station and submit a written application to the manager there. Along with this, it is necessary to have an attendant or a close person with the dead body. You will also have to give the death certificate issued by the hospital to the railway. Please note, no separate charge is taken for this. The railway will charge the same as for booking two quintals, which can be around 50 rupees.
