This means that there will be no trading in the Indian stock market today. Trading in the currency derivatives segment of the Indian stock market will also remain suspended today for the nationwide celebration of Good Friday. Experts say that investors who keep an eye on the market should research other investment options on the days when there is no trading in the market and consider earning more money by investing there.
No action on MCX, NCDEX
Trading in the commodity derivatives segment and the Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) segment will remain suspended in both the morning and evening sessions. That means there will be no action on MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange) and NCDEX (National Commodity Exchange). Explain that according to the list of stock market holidays in April 2023, there will be three stock market holidays in April 2023. Good Friday is the second stock market holiday this month. Prior to Good Friday 2023, the Indian stock market was closed on 4 April 2023 for Mahavir Jayanti. The next stock market holiday will be on 14th April 2023 on the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti.

The Indian stock market bounced back from its day’s low following the surprise move of RBI to keep the interest rate unchanged after the MPC meeting. The NSE Nifty closed 42 points higher at 17,599 while the BSE Sensex closed 143 points higher at 59,832. The Nifty Bank index closed at 41,041 points with a gain of 41 points. On the other hand, if we talk about the second segment of the market, the mid-cap index rose by 0.71 percent, while the small-cap index registered a decline of 0.70 percent in the last session of the week.
