In fact, on Saturday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated 75 infrastructure projects built by the Border Roads Organization (BRO). The total cost of these projects is Rs 2,236 crore. On this occasion, he/she said that India has never attacked any country with a feeling of hatred or malice. Singh said, ‘We fight only when someone insults us or tries to harm our integrity and sovereignty. When war is waged against religion, truth and human values.

What are the new projects of BRO?

These 75 projects built by BRO include 22 roads, 51 bridges and two other projects. Of these, 19 are in Jammu and Kashmir, 18 in Arunachal Pradesh, 11 in Ladakh, 9 in Uttarakhand, 6 in Sikkim, 5 in Himachal Pradesh, 2 each in Bengal and Rajasthan and one each in Nagaland, Mizoram and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. are situated. With these 75 projects, BRO has completed a total of 111 infrastructure projects this year. Their total cost is Rs 3,751 crore.

Projects to strengthen north-eastern states

One of the major projects inaugurated on Saturday is the strategically important Kupup-Sherthang road in Sikkim. This road serves as an important link between Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg and Zuluk Axis. It provides an alternative route for the movement of army personnel and equipment to forward areas. Singh said these projects are a testament to the government’s ‘unwavering resolve’ to strengthen border infrastructure for strategic reasons as well as to ensure socio-economic development of these regions, especially the North-East.

he/she said that the Modi government wants to strengthen the border infrastructure at a faster pace in its third term. Referring to the allocation of Rs 6,500 crore for BRO in the Budget 2024-25, Singh said, ‘India will be one of the safest and strongest countries in the times to come.’
