New Delhi. Star fast bowler Mohammed Shami has made a strong comeback in cricket after almost a year of recovering from injury. Shami led the team to a thrilling victory by taking 7 wickets in the comeback match. While playing for Bengal in Ranji Trophy, he/she bowled brilliantly against Madhya Pradesh. Shami looked in great rhythm while bowling. Before returning to international cricket, he/she has come to prove his/her fitness in domestic cricket. he/she took 4 wickets in the first innings against Madhya Pradesh and 3 wickets in the second innings. Due to Shami’s brilliant bowling, his/her team Bengal defeated Madhya Pradesh by 11 runs.

Mohammed Shami bowled 19 overs in the first innings against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy Group C match played at Holkar Stadium, Indore, in which he/she bowled 4 overs and took four wickets for 54 runs. he/she scored two runs in batting. After this, in the second innings, Shami bowled 3 overs of maidens in 24.2 overs and took 3 wickets, spending 102 runs. Shami contributed 37 runs while batting in the second innings. he/she scored these runs on 36 balls. After recovering from injury, Shami played a competitive match for the first time after almost a year.

Bengal coach Laxmiratan Shukla praised Mohammed Shami a lot. he/she said that from his/her point of view the 34-year-old bowler is fit and appears to be in good form after recovering from an ankle injury. Shami, who was away from competitive cricket since the final of the World Cup 2023 on November 19 last year, had an ankle injury for which he/she had to undergo an operation. Shukla says that Shami has returned very well on the field after a year. his/her talent and dedication is amazing. It is not known that he/she has returned to the field after a year. This is the sign of a great player that he/she adapts himself to every environment. he/she said that young cricketers can take inspiration from Shami that even after injury and surgery, one can come back with good performance.
